How to update the Azure Appliance from 9.1.0 to 10.5+

Deploy a fresh UB to Azure

Do not complete the installation wizard!

Sudo to root

wget https://factoryupdate.s3.amazonaws.com/CentOS6/ROS10314U.el6.x86_64-122018_1403.iso to the /backups/samba directory

wget https://factoryupdate.s3.amazonaws.com/upgradeRelease_9.1%2B.sh

chmod +x upgradeRelease_9.1%2B.sh

vi upgradeRelease_9.1%2B.sh and go to the BOTTOM of the file, find where it asks for 9.1.0 and change it to 9.0.0

./upgradeRelease_9.1%2B.sh -samba

Run top afterwards, wait for itivity/yum to finish working, then reboot

 

SSH back in

screen

yum update --downloadonly

unitrends-cli post updates to update to the latest version

psql -U postgres bpdb -c "update bp.nvp set item_value='false' where item_name='show_setup_wizard';"

 

Then login for the first time and add the storage to the system
