UVB: VM recovers in suspended mode, preventing disks from being added

SUMMARY

recovery results in suspended vm, no disks can add

ISSUE

The first clue that this is a problem, is that it will create the new restored VM in suspended mode. Then when it tries to create the disks, it can not create the virtual disk because the VM is running (in suspended mode).

RESOLUTION

You will need to edit the extraconfig.blacklist file, and add checkpoint to end of the list

The path is: /usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/phdvb/VMware/extraconfig.blacklist

After you have edited the file, it should look like this if you have the issue

[email protected]:~# cat /usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/phdvb/VMware/extraconfig.blacklist
dMotion.enabled
DMotionParent
phdvb.vm.type
phdvb.vm.state
phdvb.replica.srcuuid
phdvb.replica.srcname
phdvb.replica.lastupdate
phdvb.replica.lastjobuuid
phdvb.replica.lastjobname
phdvb.replica.lastvbauuid
phdvb.replica.lastvbaname
hbr_filter
checkpoint
