Remotely access the Unitrends System: Command Line Interface and activating the Console Interface

ISSUE

Purpose                                                                                

This article addresses how to remotely access the menu that is presented at the console interface of the backup system.

Description

The console interface may be used for setup, firewall settings, bare metal media creation and IBM iSeries backup configuration.

Resolution

To access the console interface, first connect to the backup system using ssh, putty or another ssh v2 compliant client software.

Run the command: /usr/bp/bin/dpuconfig

     Note For DPU 3000 systems only: use these commands instead:
    TERM=xterm
    /usr/bp/bin/dpuconfig
