ISSUE

Recent Jobs

 The Recent Jobs tab includes a list of recently completed jobs results.

The Recent Jobs table consists of the following columns:

  • Name - Name of the job.
  • Type - Type of backup job.
  • Result - Result of the job run. Result messages can include:
    • Success (User-added image)
    • Error (User-added image)
    • Warning (User-added image)
    • Cancelled (User-added image)
  • Duration - Time the job took to complete.
  • Started - When the job began.
  • Finished - When the job completed.
  • Avg Speed - Average speed of the job in MB/s.
  • Data Written - Total data written for the job.
  • Dedupe - Backup jobs deduplication ratio (Total virtual disk size / size of data written).

 

Recent System Jobs

The Recent System Jobs tab is similar to the Recent Jobs tab, but only includes jobs of the Type; System Job.

The Recent System Jobs table consists of the same columns as Recent Jobs with the exception of the Data Written and Dedupe columns.

Job Explorer

The Job Explorer window is opened by clicking User-added image  from either the Recent Jobs tab or the Recent System Jobs tab.

Viewing Details - Job Explorer

You can view the details for each backup by clicking on a specific job and then by clicking  User-added image . The details will appear at the bottom and will be sorted by object. See example below:

When done reviewing the details, click User-added image to exit.

View Log

You can view a log for each backup job by clicking User-added image.  You can sort the information by clicking on the heading of each column. The log window appears as follows:

The log will display information in the following columns:

  • Time - Date and time for log message.
  • Level - Log message level (type of log message). There are currently three valid levels; Info, Warning, and Error.
  • Engine - Engine Appliance from which the log message originated.
  • Management - Management Appliance from which the log message originated.
  • Message - Log information detailed message.

You can export the job history or the log to an Excel file by clicking User-added image at the top of the page.

Viewing Details

When you clickview_details_icon.png at the top of each tab, another table will appear at the bottom of the tab. The table will be sorted by object. Below is the View Details table for the Recent Jobs tab.

The View Details table displays:

  • Object - Name of the VM or disk.
  • Result - Status for object in the job. Result messages can include:
    • Success (User-added image)
    • Error (User-added image)
    • Warning (User-added image)
    • Cancelled (User-added image)
  • Start - Date and time the process for the object started.
  • End - Date and time the process for the object completed.
  • Speed - Speed of the process for the individual object in MB/s.
  • Data Written - Data written for the object.
  • Dedupe - Deduplication ratio for VMs and disks (Total virtual disk size / size of data written).

The View Details table for the Recent Systems Jobs tab appears similar to the View Details table for Recent Jobs. However, it excludes the Data Written and Dedupe columns.

Filtering Job Results

In order to filter the results to certain jobs, click  User-added image. A dialog window will open with the options to sort by Job name, Job typeJob ResultJob start/finish date, and Job inventory.

When finished choosing your options, click Filter to continue.
