Can you create a virtual machine from a backup?
Explain options for creating new virtual machines from existing backups.
A completely new instance of a virtual machine can be created in a VMware or Hyper-V environment through the use of a VMware backup (to create a new virtual machine in VMware), a Hyper-V backup (to create a new virtual machine in Hyper-V), or a file-level backup (to create a new virtual machine in either VMware or Hyper-V).
To create a new VMware virtual machine from a VMware or Hyper-V backup, see the Unitrends Administrator’s Guide section Recovering a virtual machine.
To create a new virtual machine from a file-level backup, see the Unitrends Administrator's Guide section Performing integrated bare metal recovery.
